While the textbook was interesting and I enjoyed many of the details; there were several things I did not like.*the author was extremely bias*the font was a bit small*there were almost no pictures to support what was being discussed; so it was only row after row of dense textWhile I agreed with most of the author's bias statements; I felt bad for other students in my class who did not feel the same way; they felt like the author's opinion was being shoved down their throat; especially in the chapters from 1960-on when the author was obviously alive. Her use of adjectives were often not very professional; and simply her opinion. I would not recommend this book for general education classes or introduction to women's history classes because it will come off as pushy to people new to the subject matter.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. FantasticBy KatieScarlettI read this book in a little less than 8 weeks for a class I was taking at AMU; and I must say it was wonderful. I only wish every person could read it. Well written; and NOT one-sided; as it shows all sides to the story; including many different minorities; men and women alike. Who knew women were so wonderful. It is such a shame they have been left out of most of our history books. If you want to know more; you will have to read this book. For women; it can be a life-changer!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Four StarsBy bailey blissWomen beyond the man.
