We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated; and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Adam Hamilton believes that some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles’ Creed; an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs. In this book for Lent; Easter; and beyond; Hamilton considers important questions of life; reality; and truth. He explores not only what Christians believe; but also why they believe it and why it matters. Chapters include: God Jesus Christ The Holy Spirit The Church at the Communion of Saints The Forgiveness of Sins The Resurrection of the Body Creed: What Christians Believe and Why is also part of a six-week church-wide program that includes a Leader Guide; DVD; and youth and children resources.

Bob Dylan; Greatest Songwriter of 20th Century Adapted Changed with the Times each GenerationBy Andy Anderson aka Travis C.This 54 page booklet has a good deal of information worth every minute of your time.I was surprised; pleasantly; to learn just how many times Bob Dylan bounced back after producing a poorly received album. Unlike most artists; Dylan's poor albums were the result of his willingness to do something new and different. The genius of Dylan was his ability to absorb the aura of those with whom he dwelt. If he were to have been dropped into a village in the Jungle; Dylan would have (without even learning their language) absorbed all of the angst and concern; then gone on to write a couple dozen songs that the rest of us would have been swayed to help reverse the tragedy.Johnny Cash; as quoted by this booklet; was the greatest (song) writer of our generation. Further; as Pete Seeger once quoted to me; "Regarding protest songs; Phil Ochs tried the hardest; Pete Seeger tried the longest; but Bob Dylan tried the best."While writing this review; incidentally; on Blue Bloods; Selleck's son Danny went into a church and one Dylan's great songs started playing...Knock; knock knocking on Heaven's door.I loved reading American Legends: The Life of Bob Dylan today. A quick; easy read.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The life of Bob DylanBy Paul DeneaultI really enjoyed reading American Legenda; The Life of Bob Dylan.
