Christian Or Skeptic; You Will Love ItBy MikeThis book originally by World renown Archaeologist Dr. Joseph Free and now revised by his student Dr. Howard Vos is full of insights into not only how the archaeological finds relate to biblical events but also the methods used historically by archeologist to locate and record their finds that have led to these insights. Archaeology and Bible History does not read like a textbook filled with technical data that the average reader would be bored to death over. It is an easy reader that will open the eyes to those seeking a better understanding of how the Bible and the historical record of human growth and development compare using known archaeological finds to establish the truth of the statements made. If you are a student of Bible history this is an excellent book to add to your collection of Latourette's Church History along with Dr. Vos' book "Archaeology in Bible Lands". I enjoyed reading Archaeology and Bible History. It has given me a better understanding of biblical events in history and I am sure it will do the same for you. This book will be enjoyed not only by the average Christian but by the non-religious reader as well. I highly recommend it to both.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
