The first half of this book was interesting and better written than the last halfBy Kindle CustomerThis book is full of theory but he cited too many sources that the common reader doesn't have access to. With such a controversial subject which I have read three books all using the same evidence to prove three different scenarios and all of them said "we can come to no other conclusion than. . .". They can't all be right in the assumptions they proposed. This author overkilled in that wrote chapters based on one small part citing every source he could find. Some of these sources contradicted others. The first half of this book was interesting and better written than the last half. Linking the post deluge civilizations to the pre-deluge civilizations in the way he did made assumptions that are shaky at best. Having other writers use the same quotes to prove other scenarios weakened his case.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Donnelly wrote this as non-fiction. He is a lawyer not a scientist; so he laid out the case for his belief Atlantis was a real place. I believe he was correct; except he thought Atlantis was in the Atlantic ocean; and was destroyed. I think it is real; and still exists... in Antarctica; under two miles of ice. I am writing a book on the subject; and Ignatius Donnelly is one of close to 100 authors I have consulted in forty years of research. Anyone who enjoys this book needs to read Donnelly's other book RAGANROK: AGE OF FIRE AND GRAVEL. Would be great WITH PICTURES!By StarGreat information but...I ordered the digital kindle ebook. NO pictures; no maps! This book relies highly on references to the maps; and ok; I searched the web to see what the author was writing about; but why should I have to?Why can't figure out a way to add pictures to their ebooks? The covers are graphics.Particularly frustrating was the section on language and the Mayan or Landa alphablet..seriously ## signs? I am including a picture I took of the alphabet by searching on Google.Now; I know that receiving these quickly and inexpensively through Kindle is amazing and all but; gee whiz; in a book such as this the graphics are vital.
