B-29 Superfortress Units of the Korean War (Combat Aircraft)

ebooks B-29 Superfortress Units of the Korean War (Combat Aircraft) by Robert F. Dorr in History

Description

Many books have been written about St Helena and its most famous resident; the exiled Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. The episode has been so intensively researched that it is rare for a fresh; unpublished account to come to light. Yet Dr James Verling's St Helena journal is just such a source. Verling was based on St Helena during Napoleon's imprisonment and he was even appointed as Napoleon's official physician. Throughout his stay; this young doctor kept a vivid diary of his experiences. Through Verling's eyes we get a fresh view of daily life on the island and of the suspicion-filled society that grew up around Napoleon during his last years.

McgillRobert Dorr's book contains a priceless collection of photos and beautiful B-29 renderings by Mark Styling; plus narrative drawn from the personal experiences of those who crewed the aircraft and fought the Korean air war. As one of those interviewed for the book; I thank the author; not only for bringing the role of all of the B-29 units in the forgotten war to the general public; but also for the inspiration and reference source his work provided in preparing and motivating me to write "Black Tuesday Over Namsi; B-29s vs MiGs--the Forgotten Air Battle of the Korean War..." Thank you; Bob.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good bookBy Scott BaileyCovers a section in warfare on this aircraft. The units and base locations are covered in detail.
