ESSENTIALBy alain robertI am quite an addict for these baseball books about the history of a team.JIM HENNEMANN has done a great job in putting pictures and texts filling his book about 60 years of the ORIOLES.It made me relive memories of the famous team i remember growing up.They had BROOKS and FRANK ROBINSON;BOOG POWELL; and three great pitchers:PALMER;CUELLAR and McNALLY.I still can't beleive that they lost against the METS in 1969.A fun reading for a baseball fan.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. As an 85 year old die hard Orioles fan now ...By CAHSAs an 85 year old die hard Orioles fan now retired in Florida; this is a Pulitzer Prize candidate. It's the rare literary memorabilia that can give me goose bumps. This tome does!1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Thanks for the memories!By nobizinflaGreat trip down Memory Lane.I saw the Orioles suffer their 100th loss in 1954 and was in Memorial Stadium for Opening Day 1955...so this book capsulized the soundtrack of my life.A big plus is that I read Jim Henneman's columns for years. Chuck Thompson; Bob Maisel and Henneman were the spoken and written voices of the Os as I grew up.Bravo!
