Bill of Rights: with Writings that Formed Its Foundation (Little Books of Wisdom)

DOC Bill of Rights: with Writings that Formed Its Foundation (Little Books of Wisdom) by James Madison; George Mason in History

Description

Bridging the transition from the medieval to the modern worlds; the Tudor dynasty ruled England during a dynamic period of maritime and naval history--the time of the Mary Rose; the Spanish Armada; Sir Francis Drake; and the birth of British sea power. From the pre-Tudor navies dating back to Alfred the Great through the sixteenth-century reigns of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I; the author provides a detailed record of naval activities involving English ships; organized by monarch and naval campaigns. In addition; the book portrays the individuals involved and the inner workings of the Tudor navy's organizational structure. Following the success of Conway's Nelson's Navy; The Tudor Navy presents a synthesis of diverse information to create a panoramic view of the English navy that will be a valuable reference for the enthusiast and a revelation to the general reader.

These are perfect display pieces; and durable enough to carry on you or in a bag. I display them in my cubical at the office.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Great Little BooksBy Ellyn C. PotterI have these Little Books: Declaration of Independence; Bill of Rights; and Constitution. I keep them in my living room and people pick them up and glance through them; and because they are small they want them. I bought these three as a gift for one of my neighbors who wanted them. I think everyone should have them so they can refer to things from time to time that they may not be familiar with! They are little but have BIG information!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. U.S. Bill of RightsBy bmonningerOverall; this is a really nice book due to the fact that it is both made to a very high quality and more importantly has a hard cover; instead of the paperback type that most of the other books of this nature have. As a result; I really enjoyed receiving this book mainly in part; because it is important to know how your country came to be; its history; and the documents that helped to establish our country as-a-whole especially when these documents contain our country's heart-and-soul per say. With that being said; this book is illustrated in a very detailed manner; which in-turn will allow both you and your family's future generations to enjoy the book along with its vital contents for many years to come.
