It has very detailed and clear drawings of the birds...one to a page...along with simple; easy to read information; which makes it very "user-friendly". It is indexed several ways. the charts for where to find birds is very easy to read while all inclusive. that is really hard to find in a book. It is just the right size to take if your traveling
