This was a gift for my wife; a curator of Asian art with a small bit of Islamic ceramics in a mostly Chinese collection---but this volume is useful for those interested in Chinese ceramics as well; and the buy -in is a bargain. With sufficient technical material to be useful for the serious potter; it is still accessible for someone just interested in the styles and beauty of pottery.
