Was Jesus the invention of a Roman emperor? The author of this ground-breaking book believes he was. "Caesar’s Messiah" reveals the key to a new and revolutionary understanding of the origin of Christianity; explaining what is the New Testament; who is the real Jesus; and how Christ's second coming already occurred. The clues leading to these startling conclusions are found in the writings of the first-century historian Flavius Josephus; whose "Wars of the Jews" is one of the only historical chronicles of this period. Closely comparing the work of Josephus with the New Testament Gospels; "Caesar’s Messiah" demonstrates that the Romans directed the writing of both. Their purpose: to offer a vision of a “peaceful Messiah†who would serve as an alternative to the revolutionary leaders who were rocking first-century Israel and threatening Rome. Similarly; "Caesar’s Messiah" will rock our understanding of Christian history as it reveals that Jesus was a fictional character portrayed in four Gospels written not by Christians but Romans. This Flavian Signature edition adds Atwill’s latest discoveries of numerous parallel events in sequence which ultimately reveal the identity of the true authors of the Gospels.

A Must Read!By epiafI was fascinated by the first account stories of the heroic efforts by the fearless; compassionate and faith-filled men and women of the Coast Guard. I am very glad this book was written because this story had to be told! Tens of thousands of lives were saved by people working in extreme and dangerous conditions who did not take their own safety into account. Their commitment to saving everyone they could; even those who were seemingly too sick or too trapped to get out; is incredible! I kept trying to imagine myself in such situations and wondered if I could have done half of what they did. This story is an important one as it also educates on the value of New Orleans as a port city and what had to be done to quickly reopen the Mississippi River and the port. Many thanks to the author and all the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Giving Credit to HeroesBy RicheberI know some of the participants having joined the Coast Guard Auxiliary in New Orleans after working on a tug boat in New York during 9-11. What the long overdue book describes is the behind the scenes working of the Coast Guard; the one federal agency that is required to respond immediately during adverse conditions. Starting the book with a chapter on Auxiliarist Mike Howell was excellent; not only because he was one of the first Coasties on scene; but because he had dedicated his life to helping the active duty side as a volunteer. Organizing all of the Coasties who literally came in from across the world was an amazing feat for which Capt. Mueller does not give himself enough credit. The book is well written and an easy read. If there is a fault; the book does not tell enough of the many; many stories of other Coasties who were heroes. But to do that; it would have had to rival War and Peace in volume.4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. This is a story that needed to be told a long time ago.By MCVery well written and entertaining. Anyone who was there would agree that this is a very accurate account of what really took place.
