Death From Below - Volumes 1 and 2

audiobook Death From Below - Volumes 1 and 2 by Del Laughery in History

Description

Mainstream Americans are tired of being abused by the Left; which dominates both political parties; the courts; the media; and our educational institutions. They are incensed at being robbed of their money and their country. They are angered by watching the Left trash the economy; the military; the Constitution; and morality. Most of all; they are utterly frustrated that nothing they do makes a difference; that their vote does not precipitate change. In brief; they are tired of being defeated in the culture war. The solution resides in a counterattack with the objective of restoring our previous Christian culture. The evangelical church must lead that offensive. However; because it has become infiltrated by the core concept of our failing post-Christian culture the American evangelical church is too weak to engage effectively in the culture war. This book describes the core concept of secular culture that is ruining our nation; shows how that concept has infiltrated the American evangelical church; proposes a path back to spiritual health for the church; and provides an effective strategy through which the church can win the culture war against the Left. Paul Brownback graduated of West Point; has a Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary; a Master of Human Relations from University of Oklahoma; and a PhD from New York University. He has served as a pastor; counselor and college president. He writes a weekly article on scriptural; social; and political issues for his blog; hopethatsreal.com.

PuckettI was married to a rather rowdy submariner (most of them were by the way) for a long time and this book really brought back memories. It clarified a lot of what was discussed during off-crew parties and get-togethers. Some of the things Mr Laughery described had me laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my cheeks. My submariner is on Eternal Patrol now and this book made me feel like I was listening in on him and his crewmates again. Thank you so much for writing this and hopefully you'll write more like it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Book dives but never resurfacesBy nolaA book of foolishness... really. True to form; when young men are together at sea; there are foolish and stupid things done. This book just bears that out. I didn't finish it - a bit juvenile. Especially for our elite Submarine Sailors... of which I was one!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. What Goes on Below Usually Stays BelowBy Harriet W. BergThis book contains many short stories about the author’s time spent on several different submarines while in the U.S. Navy. They tell primarily about much of the “cutting up” the crew did during different deployments to fight off boredom as well as welcoming new members of the crew. I expected more excitement and other stories about different missions. However; since most submarine missions are extremely highly classified; I suppose that would not be possible in this lifetime. The book is self-published and is pretty well done for a retired sailor. Since he served on much more than one submarine; the author has much insight; experience; and as a “nuke”; much knowledge. He shares much of the submarine “slang” with the reader. I found it interesting reading and recommend it to any civilian who has an interest in submarines and their crews.
