Clear; accessible history; without the veil of romanticism.By WSI grew up in Boston; surrounded by Revolutionary history; but not until I read this book did I clearly understand the complex issues and individuals that drove the colonies to sever ties with Britain. The author reveals the individual personalities that drove the movement in all their humanity; without falling into the usual trap of romanticizing them or the events surrounding them. Absolutely worth reading for anyone with even a passing curiosity about the origins of America.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
