If you like the nostalgic airliners from the '50s; you will enjoy this book.By MikeExcellent book on these classic old airliners; good details on the evolution of the DC-6 and DC-7 with the engineering of the increased performance capabilities. The engines kept growing in horsepower and size; along with the gross weight and capabilities of the airliners.Easy to read and understand; has good flow to the airplane information. Whether you are a pilot or not a pilot; you will enjoy this book.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Market Data CenterBy dtheta/dr"For historical or entertainment only..." In the late 1970's; I got called to the chief librarian's desk at Douglas Long Beach one day. Was I the correct person to accept a report that a C-47 was being parted out by a breaker in Spain? Then at Tailhook in 2010 some of the guys told me that historic aircraft were being stripped and the parts cataloged in Bangladesh. I was pleased to see Harry Gann's name as author of this work.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
