Egyptian Myths and Mysteries

PDF Egyptian Myths and Mysteries by Rudolf Steiner in History

Description

This book provides a glimpse at the lives; weapons; and equipment of these soldiers through a collection of artifacts and exacting reproductions. As 1862 dawned; the Civil War; the conflict that had started the year before and that most Americans thought would last only a few months; showed no signs of ending. Hundreds of thousands of men across the divided nation enlisted in state volunteer regiments that poured into the sprawling military camps around Washington; DC; Richmond; Virginia; and other strategic locations. Within a year; thousands of these courageous men had lost their lives on bloody battlefields or died in disease-ridden encampments. This book provides a glimpse at the lives; weapons; and equipment of these soldiers through a collection of artifacts and exacting reproductions. While other books examine the War Between the States from a political; tactical; or military perspective; these books focus on the day-to-day life and the human experience of the men themselves; the Union and Confederate soldiers who enlisted and often fought to the death for their beliefs and those of their home regions of the young United States. Illustrated with full-color photography and historical documents; engagingly written and thoroughly explained; these books are the perfect addition to children’s and adults’ library collections; school libraries; and personal libraries of interested readers and history lovers of all ages.

A spiritual history of EarthBy Esther Philips-SweetIt is sometimes hard to imagine in our times how history can be written other than as a history of the senses. There are clues in the work of theoretical physists that our reality is not as fixed as we would like it to be; but it is hard to think these notions through; because the images are way beyond our comprehension.Rudolf Steiner was a person who dared to do so. He had a phenomenal knowledge of Eastern and Western esoterism ànd was himself a scientist. If you dare to read this book; you will have to go against most of the things you read about human history. But this is a history not only of the human body; but also a history of his soul and spirit. He doesn't ask that you believe him; but he invites you to think with him outside the boundaries of everyday believes. It will give you a new insight into what makes us human. It will give you an insight into your Self.18 of 20 people found the following review helpful. HHHUUUUHHH????!?!?!??! Genius????By Alexandrica Xerxes Roberson III (or the IV)Buddha was the reincarnation(vessel) of Wotan. Animals are devolutions of humankinds past evolutionary forms. Yahweh lives on the moon. The sun and moon and earth used to be one enormous body-mass. We WERE the ancient Egyptians. There once was a form of reproduction other than the physical. Socrates had telepathic teaching powers. Egyptians practiced mummification so the WE would take interest in the physical world: Natural science is born. The Argonauts were an historical reality. Ancient Atlanteans travelled outside their bodies when they slept much in the same way we do when we die. Zorostrianism will replace Christianity. Ancient Clairovoyants created the modern human-form by looking at their future selves and willing their physical bodies to morph into that. Brahman was Hercules was Christ. We; in our former evolutionary selves; used to be unisexual centaurs with glowing pancreal glands strutting out of our foreheads like lanterns which allowed us to communicate with the god-creatures who lived on the sun. And we didn't know how to breath either. There used to be four gender types. Now their are only two(male and female; duh). Homer was a clairovoyant who could see the mysterious akashic record. We evolved from sphinx's. And yes they were real. Gods incarnated in greek temples. INCARNATED. The romans were the FIRST to regard the individual as an actual THING. The Mongolians are the most direct descendents of Atlantis. The gall is the physical expression of the astral body. Whatever that means. Midday woman = Sphinx. Medicine works because we were once mineral/plant-like beings. WHHHHAAAATTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?!???!??!!!???!?!?! I thought this was going to be about conventional Egyptian mythology. Best read of my life! This guy is crazy and awesome and far-out and and and. I would give it one star for being too much of a load whatever its a load of( I can't tell). Excellent book!By MarkI gave this book 5 stars because it is a very enlightening read about the spiritual nature in our past and ancient Egypt. The parts about how man saw his spiritual nature; and the spiritual world in the beginnings of the planet were very interesting; how humans developed from a water planet and animal forms were also new to me. This book talks a lot about evolving life on the planet from spiritual to material and back to spiritual again. If you are interested in things of otherworldly vision and history of earths evolution you will like this book.
