Within the first few pages that I scanned through; there is literally no difference between this 8th edition and the 7th edition. It looks nice on an iPhone; but other than that; eh. The pages are not even formatted so you can scale the text; you constantly have to use the pinch to zoom. The book is not available for Windows 10 or 8 apparently. Not sure about Windows 7; most likely the same issue. If you have to get it; then get it; but the pages; the lines and context is exactly the same as the 7th edition. I can't speak for the entire book as I have to study; but just from scanning; the book is exactly the same as before.Edit: I just viewed the Contents and it seems that this 8th edition is a bit shorter. After Page 14 "Selections from The Book of the Dead" the next one is on Page 17 "The Story of Sinuhe the Egyptian" which originally was on page 22.Not sure why they had to cut a few sections; but that's nice I guess.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Formatting ProblemsBy DavidThe book is good; and the Kindle Edition is quite convenient. However; my complaint is that combinations of letters are missing completely throughout the text; namely "fl" and "fi". This might not bother some people; but personally it really bugs me when letters are completely missing in almost every other paragraph.I have reported this error to ; and they said they would take care of it as of a week ago. I have re-downloaded the book and still there is the same problem. So far; nothing has been done. (I will update the review when this issue is fixed.)0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. It worksBy Bradley BoucherAll the fi and fl letter combinations did not transfer over to the digital copy. For example; if the word was supposed to say difficult; all you'll see is dif cult. Slightly annoying but once I figured out what the mistake was it's pretty to easy to just keep reading like the mistakes aren't there.
