In the wake of the Cold War and perestroika; the New Russia is finding its place in the global world. No longer a superpower; but still a nation with great influence; Russia remains an enigmatic and mysterious land. Like earlier editions; the new fourth edition of From Nyet to Da illuminates the dynamics of traditional Russian culture in the framework of contemporary events; such as the March 2008 elections and the Georgian conflict. With a new preface; and updates and revisions throughout; From Nyet to Da enlightens readers about virtually every aspect of Russian life; covering social and interpersonal skills as well as the underlying cultural assumptions and values of the Russian people.

Fidel is in essence a bona fide Christian given his instinct to help the poor and oppressed in the pre-revolutionary CubaBy diego gonzalezThis interview is astounding!!! The renown liberation theologian engages Fidel in a candid conversation that highlights the humanistic qualities of this misunderstood statesman. The whole irony of the interview is that through action and not religious dogma; Fidel had given the ordinary Cubans both spiritual and material wellness as can be seen in the universal healthcare and education; among other things. Fidel is in essence a bona fide Christian given his instinct to help the poor and oppressed in the pre-revolutionary Cuba. Wasn't Jesus the first real Communist??? This is the gist of this book/3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.
