Driver; Jr. was so very well written; so easy to follow. Not only the historical detail impresses but also his writing style brings to mind the fluidity of such works as the writings of Shelby Foot; who wrote the comprehensive epic three volume set The Civil War or Nelson Lankford's Richmond Burning. He could also be compared to the writing style of Douglas Southall Freeman. Contacting the author; I discovered that he has completed several other books; with a soon to be published work about the Richmond Home Guard; not yet listed on . I look forward to reading the rest of his works. This particular work is a prized possession.
