It consists of various documents; interviews; stories; government reports; president speeches and sooo much more. It allows you to kind of live in that moment and see some of the people's view points. I could see some of the challenges the US faced as well as some fun discoveries they made as they progressed. It's overall informative and insightful.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. this work (and the companion volume) are great for both teachers and avid historians and/or history enthusiasts ...By Chris AllenWith an abundance of primary sources; this work (and the companion volume) are great for both teachers and avid historians and/or history enthusiasts who enjoy reading and looking at primary source material.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
