SkarryThis book is a touching archive of letters and pictures saved for over 60 years by Frank Farrell Sr.; who; in his youth; had been best friends with the main letter-writer; Eddie. I found the hand-written pages and heartfelt emotions of the lads in a far country; longing for home and "the gang" of friends; both girls and boys; to be a moving endorsement of deep and abiding friendship; honest feelings; and the willingness to put oneself in harm's way. The misspelled words add to the charm and poignancy of the letters. Since I am of the same vintage as those soldiers who sacrificed so much; that Korean War (not called a war); is much remembered by me. I earnestly recommend the book and admire Frank Farrell; Jr. for caring enough to bring it to the public with love and sensitivity.
