A fantastic book covering the three day conflict at Gettysburg in ...By Robert AbelA fantastic book covering the three day conflict at Gettysburg in 1863. This book colorizes the old photos taken at the time giving us modern people a look at what happened not so long ago in color. Mr Kunkel has done a great job in colorizing the black and white picts definitely creating a whole new look at this iconic images. I have walked this battlefield and visited many of these scenes. These pictures make the now silent places come to life . I heartily recommend this book as a must have for all Civil War students.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Gettysburg Photos ColorizedBy CustomerBob MacoubrieAn excellent job was done on colorizing the old black and white photographs. Each photo has a lengthy description on it. Personally I like the black and white best even though they did an excellent job with this book.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. or enjoyed the old photos from the Gettysburg battlefieldBy William BarnardIf you've seen William Frassanitos work; or enjoyed the old photos from the Gettysburg battlefield; you'll want this book. Very interesting to see the colorized versions. The only reason I don't give it a 5 star review is because the colorizing is kind blotchy. But still a great effort and must have.
