Description

There are two things that enemies of the traditional conservative South cannot tolerate: being faced with the facts and having their myths and lies about Lincoln’s War exposed. But if we are ever to learn the full and honest truth about the conflict; then exposed they must be. In Everything You Were Taught About the Civil War is Wrong; Ask a Southerner! award-winning historian and author Colonel Lochlainn Seabrook sets the record straight in this easy-to-read; well documented handbook that confronts the North’s many falsehoods about the American Civil War - important facts the anti-South Movement has been supressing for 150 years! Divided into convenient chapters; such as "Cause of the War;" "Secession;" "Slavery;" "The Abolition Movement;" "Jefferson Davis;" "Abraham Lincoln;" "The Emancipation Proclamation;" "The Union and Blacks;" "Yankee War Crimes;" "Prisons;" and "The Confederate Flag" (among many others); this bestselling exposé of Yankee anti-South propaganda has the power to heal hearts and change minds. For in reeducating the world about Lincoln’s War it will give Northerners a better understanding of the conflict itself; while making Southerners; of all races and political persuasions; proud to be Southern. Read the politically incorrect; international blockbuster that everyone’s talking about - the book that totally blows the lid off Yankee mythology - and learn the Truth for yourself; from Dixie's perspective. You will never completely understand the conflict until you do. Contains over 1;000 endnotes and a 700-book bibliography; and is endorsed by Dixie Outfitters; the Southern National Congress; League of the South; and numerous other pro-South organizations and individuals - and even by many Yankees. The Foreword is by noted African-American educator and Sons of Confederate Veterans member Nelson W. Winbush; M.Ed.; the grandson of Private Louis Napoleon Nelson; just one of the hundreds of thousands of black Confederate soldiers who fought for the South. Everything You Were Taught About the Civil War is Wrong; Ask a Southerner! has become required reading in homes and schools all over the world and is available in paperback; hardcover; and large print. Blurbs are by Thomas Moore (Chairman; Southern National Congress); Ronny Mangrum (Adjutant; Roderick; Forrest’s War Horse Camp 2072; Sons of Confederate Veterans); Timothy D. Amazing.By Consumer AThis is a highly readable account of one Marine's life covering three wars. I have completed reading through the Korean War. The author discusses his experiences as a Chosin Reservoir POW and his groups' eventual release. I purchased this book specifically to find more about the fate of one of the men he specifically names; Saburo Sam Shimomura; who shipped off from Sasebo; Japan; with my father. I discussed this with my father many years ago after reading a brief account of the capture in "Colder Than Hell." My father said that he recalled when Sam disappeared and always wondered what happened to him. Well it just so happened that the author and Sam were on the road that fateful day. I was very happy to read of the way their escape took place. This book goes a very long way to helpng me complete my family history project even though these heroes have passed. I am very grateful. If the author is still with us; I'd love to connect with him.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Interesting story of a solid Marine Staff Noncommisioned OfficerBy Chuck Cameron. - Marine Mustang PAThis book cover a very interesting career of a Marine who served in three wars. I liked it since it presented a picture of a Marine who rose to rank of MGySgt and had many diverse assignments. This is not a book of a combat hero but a real story of a survivor and from what I glean from reading a very solid Marine SNCO. I very much liked and enjoyed the first part of the book through MGySgt Maffoli's life growing up and his service in Korea including his capture and escape. I thought the remainder of the book was OK but not as interesting as the first parts but I did enjoy the part of Vietnam service that described the 122 MM rockets fired into DaNang since I was on the receiving end area during most of them he talked about and the later parts of the book did provide a very honest picture of a very good Marine SNCO serving his country in some interesting assignments. I liked the book since I too served as a Marine SNCO through GySgt before receiving a commission and serving many more years and retiring as a major and enjoyed reliving Marine Corps active service days through the book. Many things the Master Guns describes I too experienced while serving in various assignments in the Marine Corps. Thankfully not POW status. . .0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Good ReadBy MikeA very enjoyable read. One feels like they really get to know the author. I met the MGySgt shortly after reading his book. When I told him that I read his book; he responded; "So YOU'RE the one who bought it!"
