My goal is to bring to my readers an enjoyable experience through windows of the past. I hope to bring to you many interesting tales of myths; legends; and folklore; using informative materials compiled from stories; interviews; newspaper clippings and photos I have acquired throughout the years. I may touch on subjects some may agree or disagree on; but it is my own opinion and I ask you to respect it as that. All the stories I bring to you in this book have been researched to the best of my ability. They may or may not be absolute facts; but facts as I have been told or found in my research. For centuries we have searched for the unknown; lost treasures; lost mines; and the truths surrounding these very mysteries. I have done years of research to bring to you; my readers; a glimpse of the past; in hopes that someday the quest for these very special places will once again be found and seen by the world; and then; may it be no longer known as the “Quest Beyond our Reach.â€

Hard Charger!By John T LeylandNot just the story of a ship; the first half of the book recounts the early application of the digital computer to the problem of air defense of a task force. The actions of the early NTDS ships in the Gulf of Tonkin included air traffic control over N. Vietnam; shooting down MIGs with their missles; directing US fighters to contact with the enemy; and operating helos to rescue downed pilots make for a grest story. The rest of the book is the story of a very successful warship told by her crew.
