The book is THE authoritative text on the early history of Scituate; part of Plymouth Colony in the mid 1600's. Unfortunately; the combination of scanning and OCR has made the book almost useless for research. For example; the chapter titles are "1 Section 1"; "2 Section 2"; etc. The index is woefully incomplete: omitting (as far as I can tell) ALL references to the genealogy information which comprises 2/3 of the book (although; to be fair; the original text had an incomplete index.) DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. A PDF version of the original text is available online; and it is FREE; since the copyright has long expired.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
