My ancestor fought with this unit and I find it fascinating what he was doing on any given day. There appears to be gaps in the diary and it can get confusing because the years are not given with the dates so it's hard to keep everything straight; but that isn't unusual for any diary. This book is more for the descendants of the men who fought in this regiment; but there is something for the Civil War buff as well.
