Wonderful; educational and informativeBy History enthusiastWonderful; educational and informative. It is unfortunate that the Catholic church is not given the credit due for the many contributions offered to our Western Civilization. Our way of life would be very different without the contributions from the religious orders; particularly the Benedictine monks. Unfortunately Henry VIII opted to destroy monasteries; kill and exile those who did not show loyalty to his church. Dr. Wood is a great historian and has researched the material well.
