The right book for the right hourBy Customer"Dr Sunday Adelaja's latest book Insulted by Unrighteousness is a precious christmas gift to humanity and I enjoin every citizen of the earth to get a copy and read. The book starts with a very powerful statement and I quote : 'The fact is that in every silence; the neglect and unconcerned attitude towards ungodliness will eventually entrench the practice and the institution of ungodliness in the society 'Through the book; Dr Sunday makes us understand that we all have a responsibility to challenge every form of injustice and ungodliness in our society. He particularly makes us to understand that talk is not cheap as we have often heard but rather posits to us that the first step against challenging ungodliness is the human voice. He stated and I quote : ' The human voice is still the most paramount vessel or weapon to use to uphold justice and to protest against injustice. The mother of injustice is a closed mouth. There is still hope that if the people refuse to give up and keep silent; no matter how long or inconsequential their voices could be at the beginning; it would still be heard and justice be served."The author then goes on to show us the power of the pen in confronting wickedness; injustice; oppression and ungodliness in the society. The author clearly shows us the power books have in challenging unrighteousness. The pen is indeed mightier than the sword. But the author does not just stop at telling us to write and speak against unrighteousness he actually stirs us up to take concrete and well thought out steps against every form of wickedness in our land.He states and I quote : " If you think the political parties are a disappointment; its not a big deal.Simply do something about it.Dont just vent your emotions and feelings without proffering a solution."Citing the examples of Moses; David; Daniel; William Wilberforce; Martin Luther and Mary Slessor Dr Sunday clearly passed across the message to us that stopping injustice and unrighteousness is not a myth but a possibility."BlessingsOmiyale YomiMinister of the gospel
