It is astounding to know that someone like her used to exist. The trauma and the torture all those people experienced in her hands are beyond words. She died young at 22; but as I was reading this book; I hoped she died earlier. It is heartbreaking to know that all this came about because of a flawed fanaticism and a traumatic childhood. My childhood isn't pretty but I would never let other people go through what I had been through. She is a very different case. She derived pleasure from it all. The book at first gives an overview of the war then it provides an overview of the hollocaust; then it discuses the life of Irma Grese in particular. I enjoyed reading about the life of Irma GreseBy CustomerI enjoyed reading about the life of Irma Grese; I know there are lots of books written about her. There are ongoing studies and documentaries about her; however; I doubt that she's a notorious woman as opposed to what others think. Her life is so interesting and I admire that she strongly handle her childhood days. Like her; I was a victim and barely did well at a school. In this book; her father joined the Nazis when she was 14 years old and there are still no findings why Alfred Grese joined the party. However; I am slightly assuming that Irma joined too because she was influenced by her father.
