It Could Happen Tomorrow

audiobook It Could Happen Tomorrow by Gary Frazier in History

Description

The book that inspired the blockbuster film; The Passion of the Christ. Faithful to the Biblical account of the Passion; it fills in many hitherto unknown details. Edifying; inspiring; surprising; and heart-rending; Emmerich's descriptions of our Lord's Passion will melt a heart of stone. This book is the best on the Passion we have seen. It also wonderfully portrays the Blessed Mother's role in our redemption. Includes a short biography of Sr. Emmerich. A great book for the whole family! Impr. 404 pgs; PB.

Skip it--many other (evangelical/conservative) books are availableBy Used by MichelleThe copyright is 2011--this means there is no discussion about the current Pope in the parts where the author talks about Popes. Obviously this also means the information on the middle east is also woefully out of date. The defense of the pre-trib rapture position leaves one (and I am already one who believes in the pre-trib rapture) wanting--there is very very very little material in support of it in the book. This is the biggest flaw in my opinion. The author seems to think that at least parts of Matthew 24 refer to the church (LOL)! Does he not know that Jesus answer is directed to Jews and not the church?A second edition of this book could be useful if the present deficiencies are remedied.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I believe he has an error on page 86. ...By John NickersonI believe he has an error on page 86. He talks about Mohammad's writings. I always thought Mohammed was illiterate. The author also refers to Mohammed writing the Koran. I always thought the Koran was written after Mohammed's death. Also his research is weak. On page 15 a couples baby disappears. The author is referring to the rapture(Mat 24: 40-41 1 Cor 15: 51-52) which describes the taking up to Heaven of believers to be with Christ. BUT; the bible says nothing about children being raptured. Rev 11: 15-18 says the rapture or taking up is to give reward to the saints. There is no other reason to take up an individual; and children are not saints (below the age of reason) nor is there any reason to reward them.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. I believe it could happen tomorrow...or sooner...!By LoneStarWolverineMy favorite of all eschatology books to date; and I read them all. I can't find too many to study. This is a must read. I have started purchasing extra copies for friends. Most of my studies usually keep me motivated to read everything I can about the Pre-Tribulation Rapture (Titus 2:13 Blessed Hope). This book reinforced this practice; but also opened my eyes to the Second Advent (Titus 2:13 Glorious Appearing). I met the author at a prophecy conference at my church. I have also seen him on tv. His message is consistent! He is solid!
