Very cool and thorough historical source!By Vicki PThis book is a great historical document of an amazingly broad range of ships that were involved in WW2. Some reviewers had stated that this book only covered ships that were laid down during WW2; and this is patently false. There are some vessels that were sunk at Pearl Harbor and mentioned in a footnote; but their class is still described in detail (in particular is the USS Arizona).1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. One star is all you get.By David H. DenchelI thought for that kind dollar amount it be of higher quality. It's not. It was a Jane's book reprinted from a reprint by another printer. This book might have been new. But it has seen more than a few stores. I bought for reference work. It will do.2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Very completeBy Every thingBought this for my father in law who is in a memory care center. His patrol craft was one of the very first ships into occupied Japan...he is a retired naval commander and pores over the book daily...it touches him with its images.
