Good basic textBy zzz05An interesting detailed view of an interesting subject; how Judaism and Islam (mainly; despite the title) shaped each other during the period that Islam was undergoing its initial expansion and Judaism was changing from the Temple based religion of an agricultural nation to a diaspora religion of a dispersed nation cut off from the land.The book's author writes from a more Jewish point of view; and the book was written originally in 1955 and updated in 1964 so it predates not just the Arab Spring and its aftermath; but also the Iraq War; the intifadas; and even the 1967 War; not being an expert myself I can't say how much that might affect the writing; if any.
