DOC Lest We Forget: The Passage from Africa to Slavery and Emancipation: A Three-Dimensional Interactive Book with Photographs and Documents from the Black Holocaust Exhibit by Velma Maia Thomas in History

Description

This is the new Korean War Atrocities Book 2. Completely transcribed from the original transcripts. Rewritten ....reformatted for print and ebooks. This is the US Senate Investigation and the testimony from soldiers who were captured and escaped. The horrors that they describe are graphic in detail. A past customer complaint was that there was no good photos. I am sorry to say that this testimony was taken 60 years ago and that the photos that I do have copies of are unusable. Here is what we did. We hired a Professional Illustrator to Illustrate the book. The illustrations are graphic in nature. This was not an easy undertaking when using 60 year old files. Please enjoy this work...It is all true and verified. You will read testimony and statements by people that are long dead and gone....but they live on here....each word recorded.>>>>>Mr. Manring: Yes. We was lucky to get that. A little later on that afternoon one of the fellows happened to get his hands untied and the Communists saw him; caught him; took a trench tool and hit him in the neck three times and knocked his head right off his shoulders. Senator Potter: Severed his head right off his shoulders with a trenching tool? Mr. Manring: Yes.

I actually purchased the book because I was told that it had a photo of the Black Doors of Tears from the Slave Castle in Cape Coast Ghana; which it did not. However; that disappointment quickly turned to delight as I thumbed and read through the book. The heavy duty pages contained envelopes; pockets; and folded scripts of paper with replicas of letters; slave purchase lists and receipts for slaves. This book; Lest We Forget was of the highest quality published book that I have seen standing out page after page above others! Everyone did an excellent job! I do believe that this book will go down in the annuals of "Black" History as a great book for collectors.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. It is Three Dimensional!By ReginaThe book is three dimensional with copies of letters and newspaper clippings to bring to life the story of what the slaves (Israelites) went through. It has amazing historical facts about those times. I highly recommend this book. This is a great book to supplement your kids history class assignments.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
