Light Infantry Tactics: For Small Teams

PDF Light Infantry Tactics: For Small Teams by Christopher E. Larsen in History

Description

This book is unique and its author is a marvel. First the book. Classic works of Jewish thought teach that each of the twelve lunar months corresponds to one of the twelve tribes. What do the months and the respective tribes have in common? The sacred works teach also that the four letters of Hashem's sacred Name can be rearranged in twelve different ways; and each of these twelve Name Combinations corresponds to one of the twelve months. Another mystery: What is the significance of these twelve different spellings? What do they tell us about the Creator? And what is the relationship of the month to the spelling? And to the tribes? And to the Heavenly constellations? One mystery after another - and nowhere are they explained in English. Until now. The Wisdom in the Hebrew Months opens the door to a new dimension of understanding. Drawing upon the full breadth of Talmudic; Midrashic; and Rabbinic literature; this work sheds new light on the months of the year; the tribes of Israel; and the ways that Hashem relates to His people. It is engrossing; interesting; stimulating; and provocative. Zvi Ryzman of Los Angeles is a phenomenon. He is the embodiment of the Rabbinic teaching that one should combine Torah with commerce - yet give priority to the bais midrash over the office. He is a noted Torah scholar; lecturer; author and philanthropist; and the winner of the Jerusalem Prize for his many Hebrew volumes of Ratz K'zvi. His shiurim in Israel and America are attended by renowned rabbinic leaders. He possesses a fertile mind and a passion to share his brilliance with others; through the written and spoken word. In this book he explains how the Hebrew months are filled with fascination and meaning. The reader will marvel at the wisdom in the yearly cycle - and never look at a calendar the same way.

Since that's the main thing I'm looking for; I'm happy and don't regret the purchase. The pictures are nice too; as they are large and help explain the text.Negatives: The editing is subpar (the title of Section III is "Patrolling Mehods"). The author is well qualified according to the "about the author"; but you wouldn't know if from his level of professionalism- plenty of bad jokes consistently throughout that might fly in a classroom environment but are inappropriate and unnecessary in a book. The quality of the binding and paper is good enough for home library; but I have the feeling it wouldn't stand up well to adverse environmental conditions; or even to loaning it out. It's much larger than I expected; which isn't necessarily bad (the pictures are helpful; as previously mentioned); but I was hoping for something a little more portable.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Whats missing WTSHTFBy CustomerFor folks preppling this is a must; especially for those in rural and light urban area's; there is a huge difference between protecting your home and protecting your land (AOPS) a good defense should be also a good offense. Its better to 'patrol' through your area of operations (AOPs) and counter any offensive forces who intend to do you harm and the only way to do that is to practice LITS (Light Infantry Tactics)So if you don't have a former grunt in your team this is the book; and even with a grunt this will help him train your team to a decent standard.Well Done Chris0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
