For three centuries--beginning with the accession of Mikhail Feodorovich Romanov in 1613--the Romanov Dynasty ruled Russia. Its reign ended with the execution of Nicholas II and Alexandra in the early 20th century. Noted Russian scholar W. Bruce Lincoln has brilliantly portrayed the achievement; significance and high drama of the Dynasty as no previous book has done. His use of rare archival materials has allowed him to present a portrait of the Romanovs based on their own writings and those of the men and women who knew them.

Every chapter drives home the true savage white supremacist intent of the American justice system; much like Assata Shakur’s autobiography. The only difference is this victim is still enslaved. The book is not long but it is the kind of page turner full of constructive information that you will finish in one sitting. I can’t recommend it more. I definitely intent to read more of Mumia Abu Jamal’s books.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. but a great book neverthelessBy Taylor DA very interesting read. Mumia's journey showcases so many examples of humanity. His brutally honest description from his experiences from inside the prison were chilling at times; but a great book nevertheless.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. He did explain how innocent people can be incarcerated and he described how prisoners are often terribly mistreated.By barbara hydeI found this book very informative and interesting. It didn't really convince me if Mumia Abu-Jamal was innocent or guilty of the charge in which he was imprisoned but it did convince me that prison and the whole criminal system are racist; unfair and immoral. It also made me wonder about real lawyers too. What are they really here to do? He did explain how innocent people can be incarcerated and he described how prisoners are often terribly mistreated.
