The reprint of Wilkin's classic book on the megaliths and mysteries of South America. This book predates Wilkin's book Secret Cities of Old South America published in 1952. Mysteries of Ancient South America was first published in 1947 and is considered a classic book of its kind. With diagrams; photographs and maps; Wilkins digs into old manuscripts and books to bring us some truly amazing stories of South America: a bizarre subterranean tunnel system; lost cities in the remote border jungles of Brazil; legends of Atlantis in South America; cataclysmic changes that shaped South America; and other strange stories from one of the world's greatest researchers.

A brief synopsis of the lives of individuals who risked not only their property but their very lives.By FHPI enjoyed this book very as it put forth a brief synopsis of the lives of individuals who risked not only their property but their very lives in securing America's freedom. They confronted the most powerful country in the world as a rag tag fledgling want to be independent country and succeeded. It would serve as a good primary or reminder; depending on your age; for anyone interested in U.S. history.I did notice some grammatical errors but they did not distract from the overall gist of the book.I rated this book four stars.I obtained this book from in Kindle format.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Wow what a historical learning experience.By RandyThis is a great book; if you want to really understand the founding of this great country. The war continued much after the surrender at Yorktown. And the building of this nation a long hard struggle by some brilliant men; to finally design a government. I love American history and never realized how this nation was conceived.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
