Generally speaking; a good book.By Zé do BorogodóThis must be one of the finest German fighter biographies around (not that there are much of them; at least in English language...).Except from two months in 1945; Schuck fought all his war in the Arctic front; battling Russians with his ME-109 in JG5; latter becoming stafell leader of 10. JG5. His total tally is 202 victories.Schuck is pro-Reich to the bone.He halfheartedly talks about the subject of over claiming; without convincing no one. He stands for all his skills. How; please tell me; can someone shoot down 4 Bostons and 2 Kittyhawks in the same mission; with close to only 15 seconds of fire power available? Not only that; how in the midst of so many Russian enemies; he (or someone else) could be SURE (to confirm) that all of them hit the ground? The book has absolutely no information about Shuck's life post-World War II.The photos are simply excellent and informative. It is all so well documented; taht it makes one wonders why Schuck did not release his book sooner.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
