audiobook Major McKinley: William Mckinley The Civil War by William H Armstrong in History

Description

This is the compelling story of the seven-year quest that inspired a monumental work of Native American art - the carving of an entire buffalo skeleton with the seven sacred rites of the Lakota Sioux. At the heart of this story lie the history traditon of a proud and deeply spiritual people; the Lakota; and a message of hope for people of all origins.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Well-Researched McKinley BiographyBy Mingo '59I enjoyed reading this account of William McKinley's Civil War service. I found it especially helpful because I reside in the community (Poland; Ohio) where McKinley's family lived during the war. There are many references to well-known Poland families. The book is very well researched and the footnotes and references were extremely well done.I believe it is a great addition to the long list of McKinley biographies.
