Compiled to be interesting and assimilated by non-military. Need to dive into the military feet first; over the edge into a world few get to see; then read Marine. It's fast moving and sweeps the reader (this reader) into a universe with facts and details of what it is like to be a Marine. The facts didn't bog me down. Like a gun designer who lives not far from where I hail built homemade weapons and figured out to spread energy to buffer the recoil. This book resurrected the past physical science teacher nerd in me and I was surprised by the photographs that accompanied the descriptions. First ebook I've read that came with. Who knew!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Love this bookBy Ryan34Really really good book I have read it 7 times already really do love it0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Dated but insightfulBy CustomerWhat the book loses in its references to systems that never panned out; such as the AAAV; it gains back in the creative scenarios in which Tom Clancy describes the use of MEU (SOC)s.
