It's a very personal account of the Holocaust pictures to Jews and other whom the Nazis oppressed as mice and the Germans in authority under the Nazi regime as cats. The whole book is done like a comic strip of sorts and you would think it would have less impact but in the long run it actually has more impact than if it had been drawn more realistically. It's a very moving story I'm buying it for Christmas presents for several people this year. Though it is tragic and subject matter it's a deeply enriching book. My review does not do it justice. I highly recommend this book1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. I wasn't expecting to feel moved by a graphic novel...By MystieI purchased these because the thought of a graphic novel being a medium for re-telling historical occurrences of a holocaust survivor interested me. Sometimes horrifying and other times heartwarming; I was immersed in Art Spiegelmans father's story; he is quite a character! The illustrations guide you through the novel effortlessly.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
