AdamsBought this on a lark though outside typical price range for impulse buys. Different kind of historical summary. The Me 262 is looked at in granular detail. The authors write little narrative; but mostly organize historical documents and photos to speak for themselves. Well-documented trivia here interesting; including photos of a ridiculous winged bomb towed by the 262. Though is focussed on a piece of military hardware with plenty of engineering drawings; integrates into the whole wartime armaments programme on a high level. Even slave labor controversy is addressed. To my surprise get a strong though different perspective on the WWII German strategic process than just reading a biography of principal leaders. Even late war the Germans had an impressive engineering juggernaut thankfully overwhelmed by numbers.2 of 3 people found the following review helpful. ME 262 Vol IIBy D.
