Modelling the De Havilland Mosquito (Osprey Modelling)By Mike StillModelling the De Havilland Mosquito (Osprey Modelling)Roy Sutherland has made a career of excellent aviation research and products for the scale modeler; and this book continues the trend. While the book emphasizes Airfix and Tamiya kits of the Mosquito; the techniques and information are applicable to improving any Mosquito kit or scratchbuilding project. Even if you aren't a Mosquito enthusiast; the techniques and processes featured in Sutherland's work alone are well worth the book's price. I've had experience with Roy's resin detail products; and this book mirrors the scholarship and talent he has demonstrated in his other product lines. Wooden WonderBy Stanley P SteinI've always been interested in the "Wooden Wonder) since it came into service in early WW2. It was another DeHavilland great design that served in multiple task missions. A great machine in all theaters of the war; except due to its laminated wood construction; in its latter years of service in the tropics; unlike in Europe where it fared well in that climate; in the jungles of the Pacific; that climate took its toll on the Mosquito airframe.Nevertheless; the Mosquito made a strong impression upon the Axis.
