If you have lived in the Middle East since the inception of the state of Israel; or if you are a student of twentieth century Middle East history; you cannot help but take part in the debate which has produced many books on the ongoing conflict between Jews and Arabs; especially Palestinians...[Tarazi addresses this conflict] not from an historical point of view; but strictly biblical...Land and Covenant is a very scholarly and interesting biblical study; and I recommend it to all who seek the truth; objectively and without any prejudice. +Archbishop Philip Saliba; Metropolitan Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of NA The V. Fills a needBy JKWith so many books on Napoleon; Schneid's little guide is very useful to anyone trying to identify the seminal works; but who is boggled by the millions of titles that range from classic; fully-sourced works of scholarship to uniform coloring books. The content is arranged by categories of interest (origins; general histories; campaign descriptions; and peripheral subjects). Until relatively recently; the works in English tilted unsurprisingly toward an emphasis on French and English perspectives; so some of the newer publications restore some balance by reference to Russian and German sources.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great things in small packagesBy Jan JeffAs you can see from clicking the LOOK INSIDE feature; this slim volume is packed with hisoriographic material for the Napoleonic scholar. This is an extremely cost effective purchase to update your grasp of the current ( past) scholarship. The suthor has presented a wide-ranging; cogent analysis of the era's literature as well as indicating areas that need investigating. I'm impressed with Potomac Books format; basically a one hundred page bibliographic essay that covers the ground keeps the purchase price low. Very interesting reading. Recommended!
