Napoleon's Waterloo Campaign: An Alternate History: Volume II

ebooks Napoleon's Waterloo Campaign: An Alternate History: Volume II by Steven Marthinsen in History

Description

In this provocative book; Marvin Perry and Frederick M. Schweitzer analyze the lies; misperceptions; and myths about Jews and Judaism that anti-semites have propagated throughout the centuries. Beginning with antiquity; and continuing into the present day; the authors explore the irrational fabrications that have led to numerous acts of violence and hatred against Jews. The book examines ancient and medieval myths central to the history of anti-semitism: Jews as 'Christ-killers'; instruments of Satan; and ritual murderers of Christian children. It also explores the scapegoating of Jews in the modern world as conspirators bent on world domination; extortionists who manufactured the Holocaust as a hoax designed to gain reparation payments from Germany; and the leaders of the slave trade that put Africa in chains. No other book has focused its attention exclusively on a thematic discussion of historic and contemporary anti-semitic myths; covering such an expansive scope of time; and allowing for such a painstaking level of exemplification. Anti-semitism is an essential book that will serve as a corrective to bigotry; stereotype; and historical distortion.

EXCEPTIONALBy Mark MarconA most plausible and intense alternate history. So many different outcomes could have happened at Waterloo and it is astounding to this day that Grouchy did not hold the Prussians back as he was ordered. This book by Steven Marthinsen (more please Steven!!) is 2 volumes so detailed and pecise in its combat descriptions; unit movements and most importantly leadership decisions that both are needed! This book is not only about NAPOLEON; but rather the performance of the Army of North against the British and Prussian armies; all armies being treated in depth.Mr. Mathinsen displays a phoenominal grasp of Napoleonic warfare and these two intense volumes should establish him as a new MASTER of Napoleonic Alternate History!Superb.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. The two volumes blend the history and alternate history together so well that I need to buy another historical book on Waterloo to get my bearings straight again ;) Well done; Mr. Marthinsen!!0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
