He was in during WWII and Korea. He never shared much about his time in and I like to try and fill in the blanks. I know the ships he served on and enjoy trying to visualize some of his experiences. Good book enjoyed the read.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Incredible Stories of SurvivalBy Martin Q.The stories of the ships and the heroic men who manned them is one which makes one wonder what made these men as brave and heroic as they were. A strong sense of a duty and the simple fact of being a member of The Greatest Generation.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good BookBy Irwin KleinmanA lot of information BUT the author needs to re-check some facts. Gun size and ship weight on some ships are wrong as printed. However some of incorrect facts were thought to be true at the start of WW 2
