There is a lot of detailabout the lives of the men who fought and lots of documentation. It is a "superbook" about a lot of "supermen".The photographs added a lot to the narrative. Awesome; Mr. Krepps!3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. A valued and valuable contributionBy Midwest Book ReviewAt the age of 18; Vincent Krepps and his twin brother Richard joined the army and were sent overseas to fight in the Korean War. Vincent returned alive. His brother did not. "One Came Home" is a very personal and candid account of the Korean War that includes the emotion; confusion; heroism; and brutality of Vincent's war time experiences. Deftly described is Vincent's anguish at losing his brother in the war and his personal crusade to have his fallen and missing comrades honored and remembered. Having earned a Silver Star for bravery; Vincent writes with a very special authority of his efforts to recover American POW's and MIA's from the Korean War (including his brother Richard). Very nicely illustrated throughout; "One Came Home" is a valued and valuable contribution to the growing library of Korean War biographies and memoirs; and a welcome addition to personal; academic; and community library Military History Biography collections.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A must book on the Korean WarBy Alte AdlerYou can read books on the Korean war by Generals; known authors etc. and then this first person account of the first weeks of the war in the Pusan Perimeter by a PFC. Vincent came home; his twin brother serving in the same unit; didn't. Follow Vincent with his excellent memory as he takes you through those early battles and after the war finds out exactly how his twin brother died as a POW. Follow Vincent as he pursues the details for decades until he finally solves the mystery. Profusely illustrated; mostly in color; large format; and on quality paper.
