By the author of the best-selling Straw Dogs; this book is a characteristically trenchant and unflinchingly clear-sighted collection of reflections on our contemporary lot. Whether writing about the future of our species on this planet; the folly of our faith in technological progress; or the self-deceptions of the liberal establishment; John Gray dares to be heretical like few other thinkers today.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good info; Poor illustrations; Massively overpricedBy TBwhy you DO want this product; Gives small (1 page) amount of historical content before each section; explaining the painting methods used and the reasoning/ science behind them as well as dates; pictures of various paint schemes and the name and nation of the ship it was applied to; includes American; Royal/Commonwealth; Japanese; Italian; and German navy's most prominently; with a spattering of others; includes names and brands of paint for the modeler. Why you DO NOT want this product; Overpriced by at least 43 dollars; it is not a book; it is a cheap brochure with 52 pages; no color illustrations (with exception to the front and back cover); when you are attempting to figure out what COLOR to paint something black and white illustrations just don't make the cut; low quality illustrations; lower quality photos(and no; its not just because they were old photographs)All in all; you can tell the effort that the author put into his work; contains valid information; lots of black white illustrations; but it will never be in any way; shape or form; worth the amont of money you will pay for it. If this product was 10 $ i would have given it a 4 star rating.
