Unchanging relevanceBy KMcKayI bought my first copy of this book when it was published and read it cover-to-cover while recovering from an accident; I have bought more copies to give as gifts; referred to it often; and am reading it cover-to-cover again now as an uplifting bedtime devotional. I have studied "Pirket Avot" (Ashkenazi "Avos") over the years; but never found really deep; meaningful commentary on them until Rabbi Wein's marvelous work.He has a gift; like Rabbi Abraham Twerski; of not just making ancient; unchanging wisdom relevant in our time; but making it contemporary.
