A distinguished publisher's trifle (well done)...By MMtnFluently written; Red Ellen is a biography of a subject one would usually expect to find covered in an ill-printed tome at the shop of an antiquarian place in the countryside. As an aside: Professor Beers makes frequent reference to Ellen Wilkinson's red hair. If my red-headed wife were to read Beers' book; she would be outraged. A distinguished publisher for such stuff.
