I highly recommend itBy AbanoubIf you're renting the book for class and using Kindle for PC; there are going to be a few excerpts missing. The first piece is Bartolome's In Defense of Indians; there are a few more that my class hasn't gotten to. Apparently this only happens on the Kindle for PC; as the missing excerpt shows up on the iPad. I've contacted and they said they're contacting the publisher. If you're going to be renting this book for class; I'd check first with to see if the problem has been resolved. ONLY applies to Kindle for PC.I'm using the main book; not the "sources" version for a college class; and this one is used as a supplemental one to the main reading. It is very useful. I highly recommend it. It is extremely helpful in making sense of the historical periods; and understanding things in better context.I'm using the main book; not the "sources" version for a college class; and this one is used as a supplemental one to the main reading. I love books that go back to ...By BenGreat book. I love books that go back to source documents. I am a history major and my professor uses this book and ones like it to help us place ourselves in the past. Reading thoughts and words from people of the time has been helpful and eye opening. I would recommend this to anyone looking for something from the people themselves. This is NOT a comprehensive history book; be aware of that when you buy it. This is a helpful companion to go along with you're studies or classroom.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.
