State of Israel. Its Friends and Enemies. Prophetic Future

audiobook State of Israel. Its Friends and Enemies. Prophetic Future by Alexander Zephyr in History

Description

Slavery in the Middle East is a growing field of study; but the history of slavery in a key country; Iran; has never before been written. This history extends to Africa in the west and India in the east; to Russia and Turkmenistan in the north; and to the Arab states in the south. As the slave trade between Iran and these regions shifted over time; it transformed the nation and helped forge its unique culture and identity. Thus; a history of Iranian slavery is crucial to understanding the character of the modern nation.Drawing on extensive archival research in Iran; Tanzania; England; and France; as well as fieldwork and interviews in Iran; Behnaz A. Mirzai offers the first history of slavery in modern Iran from the early nineteenth century to emancipation in the mid-twentieth century. She investigates how foreign military incursion; frontier insecurity; political instability; and economic crisis altered the patterns of enslavement; as well as the ethnicity of the slaves themselves. Mirzai's interdisciplinary analysis illuminates the complex issues surrounding the history of the slave trade and the process of emancipation in Iran; while also giving voice to social groups that have never been studied—enslaved Africans and Iranians. Her research builds a clear case that the trade in slaves was inexorably linked to the authority of the state. During periods of greater decentralization; slave trading increased; while periods of greater governmental autonomy saw more freedom and peace.

The author had a lot of good things to say. However; he constantly; kept putting Jewish sages and rabbis; along with Nostradamus; on the same level as the bible. This is wrong. The bible is the final authority on all matters. To put mere human beings on the same level as the bible is to demean the authority of scripture. The other problem I had with the book was the chapter on the Messiah. The author constantly keeps referring to the Messiah as a mere human being. This is wrong. True; the Messiah of the bible is a man; but he is more than a man. He is man and God in the same body. Here is what the author had to say about the Messiah: “The Messiah of the prophets is not a deity and is not a subject of worship.”This thinking is totally wrong. It goes completely against what scriptures says.In John chapter 5:43 it says: I (Jesus) have come in my Father’s name; and you do not receive me. If another comes in his own name; you will receive him.”When Jesus said the Jews would receive another who comes in his own name; He was referring to the Antichrist. One day this evil; villainous individual will show up on the scene; according to Daniel 9:27; with a peace treaty in hand; which will bring an end to Arab-Israeli conflict. However; the peace will only be temporary. The antichrist will appear to many; for all due intent; as a Messiah. However; he is only a mere human being empowered by Satan.Because the author was theologically wrong with his ideas on the Messiah; I decided not to finish the book. It was too much trying to read his twisted thinking on the subject. Those who gave this book a five star review need to go back and study; really study; their bibles. They obviously do not know how to discern between truth and error. And this book had much error in it.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Recommend this one for "gentiles".By Kindle CustomerI am reading this one slowly. It is opening my eyes to the history and thoughts of Jewish/ Israelite people think and to what they have really gone through. I am not really far into it. Mr Zephyr is really good at giving background so those of us who are "gentiles" can understand.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. it is a fantastic read if you have an interest in what is ...By Devorah AnnahAlexander Zephyr writes about the Mid-East and how we have come to have the current situation there. He quotes quite a bit of phrophesy from the bible to substantiate his findings. You will come away with a whole new knowledge about the Jews; the Arabs; the ten lost tribes of Israel; etc. etc. I have to question if English is Mr. Zephyr's first language. Even so; it is a fantastic read if you have an interest in what is going on over in Israel and in a Peace process that is never going to work.
