ChilesThe Lion and the Condor provides another missing link in the annals of world history. Col. John C. Robinson's life is an amazing and powerful story. His success as an African American pioneer aviator and as the Commander of the Imperial Ethiopian Air Force prior to World War II set a precedent for the Tuskegee Airman and others to follow. Author Yahoshuah Israel has brilliantly shared Col. Robinson's story and his contribution to Ethiopia's war with fascist Italy in 1935-1936. The author also explains his personal attempt to find the grave of Col. Robinson that was lost for over 60 years. Col. Robinson's story is remarkable and Yahoshuah Israel's tenacity and research is admired for bringing it to book. This book is a must-read.Farrell J.
